You may have unwittingly created a whole new acquisition disorder--STAD--shaving tunes acqusition disorder. It is loosely defined as the need to buy new stereo equipment, discs, downloads, records, etc. to shave by. Anyone know where to buy a quadrophonic waterproof MP3 player? To keep with the thread, though, once I can locate one, I'll probably listen to: Liquid Soul, Sam & Dave, Psychedelic Horns, Milt Jackson, Herbie Hancock, the Who, the Rolling Stones, the Clash. . . where's my credit card?

lol You guys and your disorders.

I like to listen to anything while shaving... (Keep in mind I'm still a young'n, so I don't share the complete "oldies" taste.)

    Powderfinger
    Muse
    The Predators
    Bernard Fanning
    The Panics

    and that list goes on...

The only music I need is the gentle shhhhhhh my blade makes as it glides across my face.

I shave in silence but if I were to chose something, I would probably crank up Little Feat / "Fat man in the bathtub".

North Georgia! I love them. I first heard them about three years ago, and just fell in love with them!

While I love to listen to most forms of music say at work. Making jewelry with my Ipod on listening to RAGE : Killing in the Name Of, while my boss is talking to me. Bouncing my head and dancing across the floor to the buffing machine. The boss still talking while I listen to the immortal lines..."F. U. I wont do what you tell me". Ahhh, my little bit of rebellion...oh, in my shave den? head banging and dancing does not go with sharp objects pressed to my face. I like the ......(sorry listening to Rage...lol)....meditative synthesis I experience with NO sound but the blade slicing through the hairs on my face. The sound of the lather bubbles slowly popping...the sound of The Disney Channel in the background. My daughter yelling "Daddy I can't find any clothes! My response "Did you look?".....odds are she's naked stuck in front of the TV again.....If I did listen to music while shaving I believe that harp, or flute might be nice. European Orchestral or Oriental might be nice....of course something trance or environmental might suit as well. Too many choices too little time.....

I'll listen to anything between AC/DC to Led Zeppelin. Tony Bennett, Lawrence Welk, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bach, Pachelbel, whatever. Whatever I am in the mood to hear.

It depends on my mood, usually Merle Haggard, George Jones, George Strait, Chris LeDoux, and Don Williams. Sometimes, though, to really relax I'll go with Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Wagner, or Chopin.
