Iv'e cut myself on the finger but not like yours. Hope you are on a quick mend. I have a medium folded towel that I lay on the counter top and the only thing it is used for is the razor. I put it down when I am lathering and the like. It always goes back down on the MIDDLE of the towel. Since I have started doing this no accidents have happened.
