yes i agree with you and i have found my dovo 5/8 to suit me better i have a tortois dovo 6/8 due to me to morrow from classic shaving. The smaller razors i have purchased i.e the 9/16 and 11/16 are the ones i'm strugling with around my lip and chin areas not strugling but find them harder to grip some times and they seem a little bit pingy if you no what i mean. i supose its like modern razors mach 3 may suit me but not you alot of people come in my barbers shop and don't rate fusions and other customers love them. For example i perform wet shaving and that does'nt suit every one as every ones skin is differant. gary

Hmmm... good to know. My upper lip is a #$(& to shave with either of my straights. Both have left me with razor burn, but I think that's mostly because of my technique (or lack thereof). I'll try doing what you advised in a couple days once my face recovers from todays shave.

I do not recommend shaving against the grain on the upper lip if it can be avoided, but if you're like me ... please read this and proceed with great care, thoughtfulness and caution.

I have been doing something similarly unorthodox trying to shave against the grain on the left side of my neck (I guess I really need to watch someone in person)
