    Default Well

Well, you have to keep in mind too there's cheap while sitting on a pile of money and cheap while you're poor. I imagine there's a ton of people who would use the cheap razor, cheap strop, Williams soap, cheap brush and coffee mug set up due to a general lack of funds, so try not to be too down on the whole cheapskate mindset. Don't make us barely gettin' by boys feel bad.

    Knocking the coticule.
    Hey.
I got a tiny 1.5" wide one (coticule I say), but that thing puts a hell of an edge on a blade and I never worry about overhoning. I can hone a blade outta boredom and won't overhone. Plus, I like the feel of the stone on the edge.

my guess is that even if i hone five strokes on a blade every time i use it, i will die before it will. i have about ten blades, i shave about every other day...given my expected expiration time vs. the razor's lifespan, i see no need to not get "freshly honed" on every shave. and if i'm wrong and the razor loses metal faster than i lose lifespan, i'll just buy a few more left-for-dead rust sticks off of ebay, buff the crap off of them, put a HHT edge on them, and buy myself a few more years for less than $100

Thank goodness for my small mind. How dull it would be to go through life without an appreciation of beauty and without striving for it in the fruits of one's work.

The observation of things, in truly active and open minds, can lead to some significant ideas. Sir Isaac Newton? Leonardo da Vinci?

Cheap when you HAVE money is called "cheap". Cheap when you DON'T have money is called "thrifty"!
