Default The Sweeney Todd shaving method?

So I was watching the Sweeney Todd movie, and I noticed he has two basic shaving techniques:

    1) The really close & deep shave where he shaves along the blade of the razor .....(DO NOT TRY THIS ONE AT HOME!)

    and

    2) What I'm going to call the "one-stroke" shave. Basically, he starts a little above the neckline and shaves up to the customers chin line all in one upstroke.

Now, I haven't been doing this for too long, but from what I've read, I'm supposed to use lots of little strokes to do the same task. Is the "One-stroke" method just a work of fiction or can really accomplished barbers pull this off effectively?

I am not an accomplished barber at all, but ...

Since the hair on my neck grows towards the chin, a neckline to chin shave is WTG. I can usually do WTG shaves in a single pass. Going ATG, I cannot do the same and tend to chip at it more.

Simply ignore everything you saw in the movie. From honing to stropping
to shaving it's all completely theatrical and has almost no basis in reality.

Mr Depp got no shaving training before the movie so he's just doing what seems good to him.

I have to say that I had read that Trumpers had taught him some shaving forms. They were quite proud to be technical advisors on the film.
