I know no one will like this one...
I have done it many times... sharp edge, good prep, blade flat on the face, gently glide the blade against the grain. Nothing let for the WTG pass... and no irritation.
It takes practice... but it works.

I have found that if I am going to do an ATG pass on my neck I'm best off to do it first. If I do WTG and XTG first,I get wicked irritation in that area.Like the others, good prep, sooper sharp blade, and I get my best shaves this way.

I do it from time to time just to add variety to my shaves
One has to be more careful, but there is nothing wrong with it.
I'm sure not to do it when my stubble is 3 days old, but after 24 hours it works, again - if I feel like it.

I have not been able to shave against the grain with my first pass anywhere on my face or neck without extreme difficulty
(well, besides cleaning up my hairline on the other side)Find me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage

Thanked: 1212This has become a very interesting thread.
There seems a much bigger variety in what people can and can't do on the field of shaving passes and directions, than I originally thought.
You learn something every day on SRP.

I'd rather get farted on dining at the Y than go atg first. For those that do I'm impressed and awed at your ability.
