Thread: Am I crazy?

Don't get me wrong, I love putting my brush in my makeshift scuttle for nice warm lather, but am I the only one who likes letting the brush get cold in the lather bowl and then for my second and third passes, lather with cold lather? I really like to do it with Proraso, because it feels really good sometimes, with the cooling effect and the cold lather.

Am I the only one who does this?

I like doing this in the summer but right now.... NOOOOOOO!!!! ;-) It is way too cold.

I personally hate cold lather. But if you like it, go ahead.
I do think cold lather can make your skin constrict, which according to some sources also retracts the hairs a bit. That might have an influence on the closeness of the shave.
Other than that slight and unconfirmed possibility, I see no disadvantages.

I have always loved warm lather and I always will. It is bad enough to have to contend with cold toilet seats.

I'm sorry to have to break it to you here, but you did ask the questions.

I don't know about likeing it, but I use cold lather every day because of a lack of hot water. But living in the tropics I don't think it makes a lot of difference.

Haha I guess I am crazy, Bruce. Then again, who here isnt? I love warm lather, but I love cold lather too when I'm in the right mood. I guess I'm a lover not a fighter lol

I use every day a lather what many people might call too cold. I love the great lather itself and there is no matter for me is it cold or warm. I'm simply too lazy at the moment to do anything special treatment before/during/after my shave. Just enjoy to keep it simple, do the job and that's it.

I agree, cold lather can definitely feel good when using Proraso or Omega
