Thanked: 13249I am a shift for what ever I happen to be doing kinda shaver, but I do think that the type of razor itself has a little to do with how it is used also....

I move around the blade depending on where I am on my face. The just under the chin stuff is at the heel, the jawline is the middle, as are the cheeks. Sieburns are usually the first 1/3.
As long as I'm using the SHARP part, though, I am happy.

I too work most of the blade, whatever is best, but because of the goatee, long side burns and clean bottom lip/upper chin I end up using that front part of the blade the most, only way to get into some of those spots without hurting myself or taking off hair I still want. I use the full blade for my cheeks and neck and probably the last half most when doing the up strokes at the bottom of my neck. definitely the toe gets the most time off though.

Toe on the sideburns, middle on the cheeks, heel on the tricky parts because it's less likely to snag or bounce, less leverage.

I find I only use the toe of the razor for my sideburn area, and in the tight spot around my adams apple. Otherwise I mostly use the middle of the blade.

I mostly use the front third, but whatever works really.
