Ironically, I find the easiest way to get a razor dry quickly is to submerge it in clean, hot water for a few minutes. Take it out, wipe the blade avoiding the edge, "strop" lightly on the towel to dry the edge. Tap the scales against the towel to remove water drops from between them. Check your fingers are dry then wipe anywhere you see water remaining.

You might want to blow water out from the pivot area as other people do. I don't find it necessary if you tap against the towel.

Go to your real strop and do a few laps on the canvas side. At this point the razor should still be very warm, water really has no chance of hanging around.

I usually leave the razor opened somewhere to completely dry, belt and braces approach I guess.

Wipe, strop, dip pinky in Castor oil and run the edge of the blade along the nail and store.
