THIS MAY SOUND STUPID BUT BEING A OLD BARBER, HOT TOWELS WERE APPLIED TO RECLINING CUSTOMERS. YOU GUYS PRESHAVE WITH HOT TOWELS BUT HOW DO YOU RELAX AND ENJOY THEM IF YOUR STANDING UP AND HAVE TO HOLD IT TOYOUR FACE, OR DO YOU LAY DOWN SOMEWHERE? NOT IN THE TUB I HOPE.

Not a clue, but let me know if you find one first.

Seriously though, I usually don't do the hot towel thing.

I accomplish the same goal by shaving as soon as I get out of the shower. Also, I boil water in a kettle to use for my shave. Using scalding hot lather really helps.

I use a very long, very dense terry hand towel; it is long enough that if I wet the middle third with scalding hot water and apply it to my face I can then tuck the ends in behind my head. I can then stand, sit, read the paper, whatever.....it's very nice.
