    Man ...

Do you guys drop razors constantly? I know I dont.

I just hold onto the thing and take my time. No biggie.

You might actually be impressed with my gene pool.

If you are constantly dropping things... maybe straight razor shaving isnt for you in the first place.

I dont have a problem with dropping things so I dont worry about hacking willie.

I've only dropped the blade once .. out of sheer clumsiness.

never thought I could jump that high in the shower ... lol .

LOL. I have never dropped one so poor 'Willy' has never HAD to jump out of the way. Still like the idea of leaning into the sink cabinet as 'Willy' and I are very attached to each other, unlike Holly from Miami, F. L. A. (the was hilarious by the way!)

    LMAO!

First: how to explain this.... when you've scrubbed up and are sterile you always know where your hands are and what you're holding be it a scalpel, hemostats, or a straight blade..... it's not really an issue for me. I haven't dropped one yet and when I shaved in the shower I kept one hand free of soap.

Second: I've been in medicine all my life and I'd rather suture a lac from a straight any day as opposed to any other laceration. If I lopped off the junk.... well that would be an interesting story to share with everyone and I could get an upgrade to one of those monster, super wide, extended SUV models.

The shave really sucked and I won't do it again anyway, but it was an interesting experience and another notch on the belt.

Whiskers: how the heck do you do it man? Even shaving WTG was bad. I had to make extra passes and I still could not get BBS.

There is simply no way I am putting my more valued extremities in the path off the sharpest blade I own.

There are somethings that should never have to be collected from the shower tray.

    The olde saying applies ...
'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder'

It works for me .. what can I say. The one time I put the razor on one of those wire rack/shelf things in the shower ... and I bumped the rack and the razor fell. Next shower, I ditched the rack. No more falling razor. A simple solution.

Now, I would be worried if I dropped the blade from my hand daily whilst in the shower ... but I dont.

To me, it is quite normal. I've been shaving in the shower for years... just recently with a straight.

But thats why I feel uncomfortable or unprepared when I am at the sink. The whiskers just dont have the prep.

Ok, maybe it's in my mind.

But if I am camping in the woods or something like this, I can make do and prep as best I can under the circumstances. I dont think I should sacrifice regarding my daily shave.

I have sensitive skin, you know. lol.
