    Default Cleaning off the lather

Do most people (you guys) wipe the lather off the blade with a towel, or wash it off with water? I usually just swish it in a sink full of water, yes I'm very careful not to hit the edges of the sink. Mostly I don't want to wash a bunch of towels all the time. Is there an advantage to either?

On a side note, I tore my face up the other day with a Fusion while my REAL razor is getting honed by none other than Utopian. I told myself I could hold out, but my boss told me otherwise---apparently the sheriff only employs the clean shaven

I just use a moist washing cloth on the edge of the sink that I rinse off afterwards and than use to wipe the remains off my face. Depending on how the shave went, I could be wiping the remains of my face off my face..

    Fair enough.

I haven't settled on what I want to do yet, but I don't like running water either for two reasons: I can't hear whatever music is accompanying my shave, and I can't hear the sound of whiskers plucking the blade as they jump off my face. I think a carefully placed moist towel is preferable, and provided I "strop" the blade clean on only one spot, I can still use it to pat clean when the shave is over, IMHO.

Here in Thailand we have an excess of running water. I can use as much as I want. And if it drowns out the sound of my screaming inlaws who could be close behind me, then that is an added extra.

I rinse off under the tap, just turning the tap on when i need to. I have taps that arc high over the centre of the basin with no risk if hitting anything with the blade.
If i had more standard taps i'd probably wipe to avoid the risk & I'd probably avoid swishing about in the basin. I like it rinsed clean, but everyone has their own preferences.

I shave after showering, and use the damp washcloth from my shower to wipe the blade clean. That way I don't waste water, and don't run the risk of bonking the razor on anything.

When I'm done, I rinse the washcloth out in the sink to remove the hair and lather. I have a thing about not re-using shower washcloths anyway, so it ends up in the laundry afterwards.

Of course, make sure your razor is plenty dry before putting it away. It'd be a shame to get a decent razor rusty when it's so easy to prevent it.

Hmmm....Seems I'm in the minority here, I think I'll try using a towel and then see which I prefer.

A quick run under the tap (2" minimum distance, and spine first) then wipe on the towel. I like the blade warm...
