    the second pass the soap dried while i was shaving...
    any idea to avoid this!?

    If I take too long to finish a pass and the lather starts to dry out, I just dip my brush in hot water, rub the soap again and relather a little on top of it. Usually my lather does not dry out, unless it is one particular brand of soap, L'Occitane. I like it, but it takes more water to make a good lather. The mid shave stropping helps keep my razor sharp enough to do the final cleanup of trouble spots.
