Foggy Mirrors
What do you guys do to prevent mirrors from fogging, or at least getting them clear to shave?
I've heard wiping shaving cream on them then wiping it off keeps it clear. I tried that a few years ago and it didn't work at all.
Even after a shower and I try wiping the fog off with my towel, I can't get it cllear enough to shave by, and it fogs back up within a minute.
I bought a mirror that claimed to not fog, that was a lie.
What are your secrets?

I wipe over with shampoo, then rinse off. It keeps it clear for me.
I'd love one of those heated mirrors that don't fog at all!

Thanked: 293I leave my bathroom door open and that works fine. I also don't leave the hot tap running unless I'm using it that very second (add hot water to lather, rinse the blade, make a hot towel, etc.).

I live in an apartment, the exhaust fan is just a fan in the wall, there's no where for air to go except right back out the edges, so that doesn't really work. And when I leave the door open, the steam sets off the fire alarm that is right outside the door. It's a disaster.
We're moving soon, I'm hoping to get a sink that is seperate from the bathroom with the shower, that would be the ultimate fix.
Until then I'll try some of your guy's other advice.

Thanked: 293I didn't know steam could trip a fire alarm. I thought only smoke could. Crazy.

Don't have the shower so hot the bathroom resembles an Amazonian rain forest and install a good extractor fan.
