I do the same and get great results, besides there isnt enough stubble left for the lather to stick to anyway.

After my WTG,XTG i apply lather again and rub lightly with my hands to feel for any rough spots and remove, then rinse.

    Default Just Water . . .

    Gentlemen,

I use the water routine only for minor touch ups. The big ones, still receive a dose of the brush.

of my patchy growth - I usually do some touch ups dry right before AS goes on to clear out those small bands of stubble I did not get on my first 2 passes - my face is basically dry but still pliable due to just washing with cold water and drying with a towel.

I just attempted a water only third pass (touch up pass), did not like it at all, was too irritating. I'll try it one more time just to make sure, but I think my 3rd pass will end up being used with oil.
