Thanked: 20There is, however, an artery that runs through the ear lobe. When I was a kid, my mom had her ears pierced. The first one went off without a hitch. The second one bled so bad that the lady piercing her ear got sick at her stomach and had to let my mom go home with a big wad of tissue. yes they do heal quickly. So quickly in fact that once my mom got them both successfully pierced one would heal up before she could get a fresh one in every time she removed the ear rings for cleaning. Ultimately, she had to resort to the old fashioned way African American women used to use when they first got their ears pierced. It consisted of taking a broom straw slightly longer than the thickness of the ear lobe and burning each end with a kitchen match and inserting it in the opening and dabbing each end of the straw with alcohol every day. She knew when the hole had healed around the straw when it stuck to the cotton ball and pulled out. She hurriedly inserted an ear ring before it could close up and it stayed open to this very day. Vanity I guess, but she was determined to have pierced ears (circa 1970's) even to the point of wearing broom straws in her ears!

Don't worry once your ears have been sliced off you won't have to worry about cutting them again. Also shaving wil be easier. Har Har.

Only a small cut, but enough of a sting to still be very aware of it as I post this! that was enough for me. cold towel, clean down, pack away, Smoke, coffee, bed!!

Can't take your eye off a spike point for even a split second. By the time you first feel the first point to skin contact being made, it is already all over but the bleeding. I use square points and spikes, but French points and barber notches are my faves to not notch my ears.
