Yeah, I can't stand those little odd whiskers right above the corner of my lip. Stubborn little...

it really irritates me. always has even before straights. I've actually stopped at convenience stores and bought disposables to do a touch up in the car mirror. I've even used the blades from a utility razor (the trapezoid shaped ones) to fix missed hairs. I try to check real close to avoid these drastic measures.

Somewhat ironic that in your picture you have a beard covering a large portion of your face lol. Just Kidding.

I have certainly done that. I stopped shaving every day just before I went on holiday, and there is only so much I can deal with growth wise these days. Like right now for example, I am going to finish this post and shave, it needs to be done. But which razor!

I am convinced that with my face, heat causes my skin to expand, hiding a micro amount of the length of the beard. For this reason, (if it is truly the reason), I would shave and have a completely BBS shave. Then, rinse, apply after shave. And, moments later, when my skin had cooled and contracted, I could feel a very small amount of stubble!
I have the same issue and concur with you on your diagnosis of the reason. I haven't started re-lathering and going over those areas but I occasionally will commit heresy and go over these areas with my Fusion.

I have started telling myself that I have a closer shave than most men and they are comfortable with their results so I should, too.

Fortunately, I haven't got to such drastic measures. I would be less frightened by my straight than a box cutter!

I shave every 15-30 minutes throughout the day to make sure I don't miss anything!

Actually, I am obsessive like the rest of you, but I don't return to the razor once the shave is done. If I missed a few, or did not get complete BBS, then I live with the results and ruminate on my dissapointment for the next 24 hours until I get my next chance to "get it right"!

Luckily, this morning's shave was a winner!

    Seraphim...

You finish shaving, and are watching television, and rubbing your hand over your handiwork. You feel a little stubble. And, just sit there? You don't retreat to the bathroom during a commercial to fix the deficiency?

    Not sure I believe you!

After my perfect BBS the only hairs left on my face are my mustache and my sideburns. No stubble until about 5p.m. So no problem.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it…

    Nope.

    I suck it up.
    I realize I screwed up.
    I feel dissapointed.
I try to enjoy the BBS parts that I did get right....

Sometimes I console myself by bidding on something from EBay.

But I do not return razor to face until it's truly time to shave again.
