    Default Does this bother you?

When I'm done with the evening shave, I relax on the couch for some TV. I find myself checking the status of the beard using my hands. The last couple days, I've noticed that I've missed a couple stray hairs...and after about 30 minutes, it bugs me enough to go back into the restroom and lop them off It doesn't make me mad or anything...I just can't let it go for the evening...

HA!! Funny you should mention this. I keep a razor and a mirror in my office. I generally notice these after I get to work. An odd hair or there on my neck usually. Sometimes under my nose.

Maybe I should limit the amount of strokes of every shave?

I'm like every one here, the BBS aspect is very important. It IS frustrating running your hands over your face after a shave and feeling stubble.

I am convinced that with my face, heat causes my skin to expand, hiding a micro amount of the length of the beard. For this reason, (if it is truly the reason), I would shave and have a completely BBS shave. Then, rinse, apply after shave. And, moments later, when my skin had cooled and contracted, I could feel a very small amount of stubble!

Any more, I use warm water throughout the shave as expected. After my shave is over, I rinse with cooler water, towel dry, start cleaning up, and after a minute or two check for stubble. For those spots, I lather and make one final pass using cooled down lather and coolish water.

When I started performing this last check, the 30 minutes later discovery of stubble largely disappeared.
