Thanked: 335Anyone ever wonder why bathroom sinks are set crotch high? Now if they were at the same height as a kitchen counter, all one would have to do is lean into the sink/counter and the dress or dress not for shaving would be moot. If/when I redo my bathroom, the sink will be at 36" AFF (above finish floor). I just don't feel it's reasonable to have to dress to shave, although a kevlar apron may not be a bad idea for us Murphy-ites.

I wear a towel.
I've considered otherwise and decided that its just not worth the risk.
Just because people have failed to report it doesn't mean it hasn't happened... I might not report it to the general public either if I were to get nicked or worse in the area of no-man's-land. I'd imagine it would be pretty embarassing.
I'd rather not risk it. I can buy a new towel for less than 10 bucks... the alternative might be more than I'd be willing to lose...

Thanked: 235If I shaved commando the other guys at the gym would get the wrong idea. I'm not afraid of droping my razor, but I am afraid of a random guy coming up behind me and giving me a hug thinking I was dropping hints by shaving commando.

I shave with my towel. It's not so much for protection (though I suppose it does offer some) as convenience. I use the towel to dry my hands and razor if either gets wet during the shave.

I always shave with a towel. I just hop out the shower, dry off, except for my face of course, wrap it and shave. It's not so much for "his" protection, but in case one of the kids comes in and wants to ask me a question or something.
As for the cold, meh, I heat my house, not to mention I ride my bike 3.6 miles to work in sub-zero temperatures in the winter, so...

For the most part I shave with a towel around me.... only because I shave right after a shower.

I wear a towel, it keeps my hands dry for blade control, I wipe my blade on the towel to keep it away from the faucet and if you have ever dropped a razor you know at least a towel makes good sense.(nun jr, nods his head in approval)
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
