Glen has a few barber hones listed on his site for sale. You will find they come lapped and ready to go , you will also find he rates them for softness and on top of it all , they are reasonably priced. It doesn't hurt that he is an overall reliable guy and helpful. gemstarcustoms.com GL!!!

I am watching a few on ebay. Back in the day I took some of those in rough shape and "restored" them. I'll let you know within 2 days if I have another one on the way. Unfortunately I just sold off the last one I still had last month (besides my own Swaty lol). Alternatively if you have 2 hours to spare, get a flat surface (marble or granite tile) and some wet dry sandpaper, and you can restore one yourself!

khaos - I'm hoping I can manage not to screw up my blade again, but if I do that maybe the cheapest route. *sigh* Being broke sure does make you resourceful, but it's not the most convenient thing in the world.
Thanks Oni! Dude at the post office gave me the weirdest look when I told him what was in the package. Pretty sure the only reason he didn't call security is because I'm not exactly the most threatening-looking person in the world.

Oh yes, all the bubble wrap and uber-strength packing in the world can't protect us from the WRATH OF SHARP OBJECTS!
When did humanity get so freaked out by tools...?

LOL I'll tell you a funnier story. I was going to pay a parking ticket at the courthouse downtown and then mail off my Tally Ho to be restored. SO... at the court you have to go through a metal detector and you should have seen the look on their faces when I pulled out a big old medieval-looking honking 8/8 wedge. They were like... "uh........ you're gonna have to leave that here sir" and I just laughed lol.
