    Lynn, did you mean alcohol?

    I use Witch Hazel right after every shave and it doesn't burn at all. It's the alcohol that gives me the burn that I love.

    I know when I first started, I would get a slight "tingle" from the WH, but I also didn't have the "light touch" then either.

    uum so i probably shouldnt feel werry much from the nivea AS balm then?
    (it can get pretty hot still when i really want a close shave)

    I don't think there are any facts when it comes to shaving with a straight razor...
