    That's ok, weren't razor's only a dime or so? The way I see it, that's 40+ razors!

This seems to have gone from favorite blades to ebay and ebay prices. That said my favorite blades are the dovo's that I purchased new, the used worcestire, the used boker and the used fox cutlery. I have several older straights, I shave with them, but they dont do as well.

As for ebay, I think that we have taken a big role in driving up the prices.

    Default Hey RichZ

I am not ready to give up on Ebay quite yet. Since I can not go to the Mall and find a straight razor, I don't have much choice but buying on eBay. Here is a recent win on ebay ( it did get lost in the mail for a month) but worth the wait. The good news is that I only paid $3 plus s&h. I also spent about an hour total cleaning it and polishing with my new dremel.

That picture was taken with my scanner. Comes in handy when your eyes can not even see that good.

    Default Speaking of eBay...

In the vintage experts opinion, what would a reasonable price to pay for a near mint Wonderedge be?

Looks like this one may be directed at me . Wouldn't have to be that much, except for people like a certain ebayer (name withheld). Here's a guy who lives to buy things and re-sell them with questionable ethics, at least it looks questionable, perhaps I'm wrong but when there are 21 bids for your razor, 12 of which are by "buyers" that registered with ebay during the 7-day listing for your item, it can raise eyebrows. The following day, today, he bid up the price for a different wonderedge that I eventually won.

    Default Fred...

My post wasn't directed at you at all. It was directed at the vintage collectors who know what the value of a Dubl Duck Wonderedge is. I only wanted to know what the value was. What I paid for it is what I paid for it because I wanted it. The price didn't matter to me. I was the buyer who won the auction, not the seller. So, when you say "your razor" you're correct. But it wasn't mine until I won the auction. Actually, I've been looking for one for a while and wasn't going to let the one I bought get away. This was my first experience with eBay. So, who you think I may be isn't who I am.

By the way, I know who you're talking about though. Anyway, you got a nice razor. I think I did too.

    Jeff
