    I have to be honest I'm making my wife out to sound bad. but the truth is
    she is great when it comes to me buying things for myself. Never has she said no then, again I do the same with her. she never asks me how much or were did I get it. So i do have to say I'm one of the lucky ones

    I'm not married, but I do that, too. The money comes right out of your paycheck, so you don't miss it.

    It sounds like you're all set with everything you'll need. One product I find very worthwhile is Thayer's Rose/Witch hazel Alcohol-Free Astringent. It really helps soothe your face after a shave.

    First I think that you made some very wise choices and will enjoy the experience and the products you purshased

    Second I checked out the TI Evide Sonnet and the Thayers Witch Hazel. I think I will try both.

    Third, if you think that you will keep your costs to a minimum, good luck. If you get hooked, there will be that razor, or stropp, or hone, or soap, aftershave,etc that you will think you need or want. One benifit of shaving with a straight over the mach-3 or other cartridge razor is that after the initial purchases, the money is well spent and there is no ongoing cost like purchasing cartridges. In reality, many of us love it so much that we keep spending.

    Bottom line is welcome to the club and good shaving.
