Well done Obie! I have learned some years back that it is the journey, not the destination, that will bring the most joy in life! I am not the first to think of it but simply one that has listened to that wise bit of wisdom from someone much wiser than myself. I am constantly reminded that it is so.

My dear Richard:

You speak so well.

That wisdom especially applies to wet shaving with a straight razor. Eventually with practice we all learn to use the straight razor. The way we arrive to that point is what we make of it, for that is the road that takes us to our destination.

I have always looked at life that way, with all its ups and downs.

From the first day, I have embraced every element of my wet shave with the straight razor shave, the defeats and the conquests. For me, it is more than putting a sharp razor to my face: it is an event that takes in all my senses.
