I always shave sans pants. Living in NYC you get used to living dangerously.

Strangely enough, haven't we discussed the topic of shaving starkers before?

Thanked: 0I used to shave because I had to, it was one of my daily chores. Since going straight, I now shave because I want to. Shaving used to be a necessity, now it is a luxury.
I was always curious about straights and wanted to shave that way for many reasons. Nostolgic, because I prefer hand tools over power tools, ecology (I hate anything disposable), economy (I really missed the mark on that one, I have spent more in the last 6 months on shaving than I used to spend in six years) and because I really like history, historical things, and things made by hand.
I shave in my birthday suit and do not, will not and totally refuse to drop the razor. I shave my face daily, get a haircut every couple of weeks and the rest of me is au-natural.Last edited by glrerun; 02-25-2006 at 09:24 PM.

After I shaved off my beard because it became whiter than my gray hair and started using an electric razor I thought that this practice was a real pain in the ass. It seemed to take up useless time cutting off whiskers with an electric device that wouldn't quite cut it plus it would take forever to cut two days growth so I had to shave every day. last year I went to a DE and loved that, now I am using a straight every other day. I now collect razors and hone them and shave with them. I plan on shaving with all of them that I have collected. I really love honing them to the point of making them shave. It is really cool shaving with something that you have sharpened. I also really enjoy the different soaps plus splashing on the different aftershaves. I have, on occasion, considered shaving every day but shaving every other day is one of the many reasons why I shave with a straight. Plus I seem to do stuff that not everyone else does so this is just one more of those things.
Happy Shaving,if anything has been abnormal for a long enough period it then becomes normal.

Scars add character - kinda like an old hardwood floor or an antique piece of furniture. FYI, I have this steroid-based product called ScarGuard I bought from my plastic surgeon (I cut my ear off with a str8 and needed some professional modification!!!!! I'm completely FOS here!). A bottle of this sh_t cost $50 but it really does eliminate scars - even old ones. Look on the net for it. From what you madmen are saying about shaving your twig & berries, this stuff may keep your attachments from looking like you went a few rounds with a Black and Decker.
