Interesting read for sure!
This has me wondering about my strop. The surface is very smooth and does not "grab" in the least. I wonder if this is causing some problems for me?

Thanked: 2I enjoyed reading through this book and got some good tips out of it. I got a good laugh out of the instructions to hang the mirror "...between to windows if possible..." (pg 59). This is because it implies that there is no artifical lighting in the house to see what you are doing, i.e. no light bulbs! Got to love shaving instructions from the time before it could be expected that everyone had lighting in their homes.

Thanked: 6I saw this book in another post somewhere else, and read it. Wow! It was great. Thanks for posting that link as it saves me the effort and helps others. I wonder about some of the advice in there, but I am going to try it and see how it works out. Interestingly, there is nothing in there about shaving with your non dominant hand...
