Thanked: 18Thanks for pointing that out Ryan. Stubear has also chipped in.
For a beginning shaver like myself, it's good to see that BBS may just be a utopia. Something to strive for, but maybe not attainable because of practical considerations.
Experienced shavers not getting BBS, good to know, a nice reality check.
There is no need to be the best, only to enjoy

a little nutsy-cuckoo maybe but
Just give this a try -- with a really sharp blade--- down at the lowest point on your neck where you shave. Hold your razor 90 deg. from your skin and stroke straight up like you're scraping a piece of wood. Gently, of course, but use a scraping motion, it works for me. Remember, I said "sharp".
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

Thanked: 12I realized using a multi blade ( egads he said it!!!!) that there are whorls and turns in the neck- Scared the heck out of me but I finally did it with a WTG the ATG the down again WIG and called it good.
My cowardices jumped out for over a month with the chin.
That took 3 weeks to master and I still really have to pay attention.
If not getting a BBS on the neck is causing you a problem and you have tried your best then fugetaboutit and not push it and spoil the shave for yourself at all. Let it be for now.
