I am still having trouble trying to shave with my right hand (I'm a lefty). Any suggestions.

Part of the weirdess of learning the "off-hand" is, I think, that we're also looking into a mirror; this adds an extra learning-element to "tracking" the off-hand with our eyes.

At a certain point, I think the brain learns the new task and it just sort of clicks. I remember similar exercises in school, when we'd have to draw a line in a maze with each hand, only seeing it in a mirror: very hard with the off-hand, then all of a sudden, no problem.

In the meantime, my only suggestion would be to watch that blade angle carefully while your hand and eye adjust.

It's wonderful if you can use both hands but I have been shaving with only my right for over a year and it works for me.

I'm a lefty as well and find using my right hand is no where near as good, smooth etc but I guess it's just practice.

You're right Gary, it just takes practice. I'm a lefty too and learning to shave the right side of my face with my right hand was a strange experience, sorta like trying to write with my right hand, but after about a month, I'm completely ambidextrous now and it feels very natural to shave with my right hand. In fact, I get better results shaving around my adam's apple with my right hand than I did with my left. Just keep at it and it will get better.
