Thread: Shaving Vid

Came across this shaving vid after looking at his polishing video. Even goes against the grain all the way. Gave me the creeps lol.

P.S. The guy has been on this site, since he mentioned watching Lynn's vid.

You'll also notice most of the time he's holding the razor at a 90 degree angle to his skin. I guess it works for him but I would never do that nor would I recommend anyone else do it.

I also noticed that he has a fairly round face, which makes those quick, smooth continuous motions easy for him. He also changed the angles of the blade fairly smoothly. If the blade is sharp enough and the pressure is light enough, I guess he can get away with it. However, I'll stick with 30 degrees wherever possible lol.

Brian's videos are pretty good and outside of his and Lynn's videos, there isn't that much else out there. It's very helpful on the face prep. Everyone shaves a bit differently and it sure looks like he's using about a 60 degree angle and he doesn't stretch his skin hardly at all. If I shaved like that, my neck would be a bloody pulp. His honing video is excellent though.

I should have noticed his posts since the nick is the same as on the video-posting site. It's just that I'm VERY bad with names. I'm surprised that I still remember mine. Which brings us to the most important question: What about his finger?

Cliff notes version: He performed the hanging hair test poorly.... turned into the hanging fingertip test.

Yikes. I hope the test wasn't a complete success!
