Thread: Shaving Vid

This may be correct, but:
1) I wouldn't want to risk it.
2) Almost every disposable shave would give me some in-growns.
3) Since I come from a beard-happy culture, it's not necessary. If I can get an equivalent to or better shave than my Philishave, I'll be alright. It's always been good enough to make me look decent until the end of the shift.
Therefore, I'll err on the side of caution. It's kind of embarassing though. I'm the guy who did 15km hikes through the Rockies with a backpack full of water samples, held my own in sparring with black belts from various disciplines, participated in sports with a broken leg, got attacked by 7 guys and stayed on my feet (which is more than could be said for 3 of them) but I've got sensitive skin.. Boo hoo lol.

So am I. I just want to make sure I can live with it. The girl I almost married came from abusive parents and had an abusive streak herself. Since I can't hit a woman, if we had any children, they'd be left to her tender mercies. The worst thing about it is that such people convince the children that they deserve to be beaten and that it's for their own good (had an aunt like that and my uncle divorced her). As a recipient of many happy beatings from both my dad and his stepdad, I don't want to have kids exposed to something like that.

I hear you. I got hit as a kid but never too badly. I make it a policy to punish my kids by taking away privaledges. I found it more effective than spanking. Just my 2 cents.

If I do have'em, once they get old enough, I'd try punishing them by making them do useful work like changing the oil, cleaning the bathroom, writing an essay, sharpening the lawnmower blade etc etc etc, all under my constant supervision. That way they get punished for being hellraisers, they see that I care and they learn useful life skills

This stuff would be on top of their regular allowance-earning chores like vaccuming, mopping, mowing, shovelling snow and doing the dishes (depending on the age and number of kids) lol.

Only if they play with'em and damage the blade. That should teach'em a valuable lesson on how much effort it takes to get a blade to be shave-ready
