Looks to be an older Dovo and assuming it's in good shape will make an excellent shaver.

It will need to be honed (sharpened) before using. Check out our Member Services page for people who can do that for you.

Welcome to SRP and post some pics after you open it.

Some Dovos are fine right out of the box, most arent. Verify the contents and then send it out to get honed.

I guess you best box it back up and send it to me then and I'll make sure nothing bad happens to it.

Hey Jeffshoots, welcome to SRP! Be sure to start out the right way and have that razor honed before you start out. Shaving with a poorly honed razor may turn you off right off the bat...have it honed right and you won't look back.

Should be a good shaver once it's honed, as all Bokers are by my experience. Honing new razors can be a pain as mentioned above and should be done by someone who knows their stuff.

Take them out of their wrappers and show us the goodies!!!!

Looks like the best start would be to send it to "Lynn" to get it sharp. Also looking at some oil to keep the blade rust free? Also the paste for the strop used with the linen side?

Dovo Blond is a carbon steel blade? Looks nice to me
