But there was a movie where a bunch of army brats wouldn't shave for weeks then forced themselves to do it with nothing or water at a minimum

I actually do my third pass dry, (ATG), for me that's from the jawbone, up.
I only lather 2x, initially, then WTG pass, relather, XTG, and then I do, ATG dry. Now, my skin is still basically conditioned from the first two passes, but I don't relather. I have no problems, no irritation, nothin'.

Please don't tell us you are actually considering this lunacy
