At times but only when I am test shaving the razor after honing. I try to keep it to four or under but there are time when the freshly honed razors start to pile up and I need to make the best use of my beard so I shave will shave with as many as I can to get a good evaluation of the complete edge. I can't really get to enjoy the razor when shaving like this but I do get a good edge evaluation of the entire blade length.

Thanked: 23I prefer using two. My beard seems like it rapidly dulls the blade, especially after the chin area. I normally do two passes and I like having two completely fresh razors ready to go for them!

Of course you need at least 2 or more razors. Here's why...what are you suppose to shave with if by chance you drop your razor, bang it in the sink damaging the edge, or just need to have it sent out to be honed. That rationale worked for me...hehehe... my evil plans for Rad are working.
As for the OP, I usually use 1 razor per shave, but have on occasion used 2 or 3 razors to evaluate each blades' edge. Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Thanks for the Youtube post! It was very inspiring. I especially like the raised eyebrows on each pass on the upper lip! Classic.

I use 3 . 6/8 for the 1st pass , 5/8 for the 2nd , and a 4/8 or 9/16 for the upper and lower lip area . Why ? Because I shave about every 3 days , and IMHO a 6/8 does a better job on the heavy stubble than a 5/8 . I use a 5/8 for the second pass because I need to do something with my 5/8 razors , and having a freshly stropped razor for the 2nd pass is nice . Not absolutely necessary , but nice .

Thanked: 6Sometimes you can find decent deals in antique stores that the wife won't get too upset about. I bought one for $9.00 and Lynn honed it up just fine.

Sometimes if I'm using a big blade (7/8 or bigger), I'll use a 4/8 to do the moustache area but not very often.
