Yea you could have shown up in period costume like in the Sweeny Todd Movie shaving contest.

Actually if it was me I'd be too nervous and probably would cut myself good.

A shame indeed. But as a previous member suggested, you could still do a video presentation, or perhaps even a live link?

Just an idea, the drawback being the lack of aforementioned co-ed shaving groupies

Even if that was a possibility I think it'd take more than a week to get through all the red tape. I will still be using mark as an interview reference and demonstrating some basics myself. (I plan on shaving right beforehand so the co-eds can feel me up!) if anybody wants to be a bad influence and encourage my laziness, I don't have any of my old links to barbers manuals if you'd like to share some. I'm really looking forward to getting up there and explaining how everybody but me is shaving wrong.

Edit: JMS is like jesus in that he manages to resurrect dead forum members.

I am just impressed that it's an insurance issue and not a matter of the school disallowing you from bringing in an "edged weapon".

Maybe the world isn't as screwed up as I thought... Yet.
