    God I love straight shaving!
By my calculations, I am into the black as it were in terms of saving already so all I am buying now is soap, cream and aftershave. That's a good saving on shaving! plus you get lovely warm lather on yer face, something you don't get with canned goop. Then there's the exfoliation when you shave with a straight so one less tube of stuff with little bits in it.

The only thing that bothers me is that after a great shave with a straight,I'm doing the same thing-feeling my face and waiting for enough stubble for a satisfying shave. It now takes 2-3 days to get a really good stubble up,and I used to have to shave every other day,now I like the four day long stubble, much more satisfying when its a little longer.IMHO.

    Charlie762,

Glad to hear that all is going well in your straight razor journey.

BTW...Don't worry too much about the cost. Some pleasures in life, like a really good straight razor shave, are priceless anyway.
