That was very disappointing. Mr. Andreasson takes his time and energy to put a face to wet shaving, and then the anchors make 'cheek puffing' jokes. If you watch the cilp a few times they almost laugh at him. Disgusting.

Yes, they did get a laugh or two at my expense. The one guy especially was suave, cool and somewhat elitist or something in attitude. And, those kind of people used to bother me a lot...

Several have called me who saw the TV spot. One guy called, not interested in straight razor shaving, but for advice what to do with #110 straight razors he purchased. He said it was some guy's collection that had been wired in display cases on a wall. I offered to meet him and help him photograph and catalog the razors, giving him some idea of their worth.

Today, I'm driving 50 miles South and the guy is driving North the same distance to meet each other.

    Should be fun!

That sounds like a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon. But just one small question...how many new razors do you think you'll add to your collection being that you will be the first to check out his inventory? He might have some junk razors made in Sheffield, England or Soligen, Germany that you may want to take of his hands.

My motives are completely altruistic, Mr ReardenSteel. I have no plans to skim off a nice razor or two for myself. And, that is the truth. Just like it is true that my nose is growing longer by the moment!

But, leaving truth to join real truth, he described some Case razors. I would like a nice one for my brother-in-law, who is a collector of everything Case. There will probably be another razor or two I might buy from him.

I should be able to help him make money on the collection, and at the same time get myself a razor or two at a price fair to both of us.

Great job on your part Larry

The Anchors are idiots but it seems to be the exact reaction from every single newscast I have seen that anyone has been able to do...

Who knows, maybe the guy might become interested in straight shaving after meeting with you and decide to look into our little hobby. It sounds like he already has a great starter set. He might just need a few other items to get started. Are you planning on posting any photos of the meet for those of us interested in razor collections. I know I would be curious to hear what he has in the collection considering the guy he purchased them from had them on display.

The situation is sticky for me. I will in all regards help him get fair money. But, I would like a razor or two also. And, I would like to help some of you straight razor guys get in on some good deals too. And, I think I can arrange it sfairly for all. But, I have to do it in a way that he knows beyond doubt that I have his best interests in mind.

I feel like I am somewhat representing several parties at the same time! But, no matter what happens, he is my top "client."
