I like Bach (I love Bach anytime, but its really good shaving music!) or a Rachmaninov piano concerto if I'm in the mood for classical.

Otherwise I might listen to some ZZ Top, Joe Bonnamassa or Walter Trout if I'm in the mood for blues, or something like Black Label Society, Creed or an instrumental guitarist like Satriani or Vai if I'm in the mood for rock.

I find really heavy stuff like Arch Enemy doesnt really work with the relaxing vibe of the shave!

My sister can sing like Angela Gossow, the vocalist from that band. Its kinda scary in a way, coz she's this little size six thing and comes out with this shouty screamy stuff..!

Small world, The Gaslight Anthem is one of my favorite bands. Just saw them here in Houston last month and my ears were ringing for days.

I usually shave in the morning, with no backing music whatsoever, so as not to wake my fiance, but for evening shaves I really dig on The Black Keys. "Sinister Kid" in particular seems to go well, as both the tune and the shaving are kind of bada$$.

If there is a better song released this year than Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's "Aya", then I certainly haven't heard it.

And anything by The National or The Hold Steady are always on heavy rotation in our place...

I like to switch it up musically, ranging from Beethoven, Mahler, Sibelius, Bach, on to Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, rounded up by some Tuvan throat singing, Buddhist Chants and Ali Ahkbar Khan. But mostly I listen to Billy Holiday radio on Pandora.

The National- Boxer is a great album to shave to.

some days if I am shaving later in the day it's a bit more upbeat and fast. Cro-mags, Black Flag, Youth Of Today etc.

I shave in silence the only music is the world out side my window. So at the moment it's wind and rain, in the summer it maybe the neighbor mowing the lawn.

I like smooth Jazz but thats for when I'm making bow strings.

I have once when I had the house to myself. I put in a Mozart CD. It was quite relaxing.

I don't listen to music while I shave because I like to hear the sounds of shaving. Loading the brush, swirling lather on my face, whiskers being mowed down, stropping, I love it.
