I only have a single straight I use but rotate my soaps/creams unless I am just "feeling" a specific one that week.

I change them each day, so a different razor, soap and cologne. The brush, strop and AS balm stay the same though, mainly because I only have one of each!
All part of the fun!

Thanked: 20I'm the looser who only has one razor and one soap. I could get more stuff, but I want to minimize variables while I'm learning to use a straight.

I rotate all of my razors and soaps/creams on a daily basis. The only constant for me is P160 when I'm shaving with any particular razor for the first time.

I have two razors in use with two more about to be sent out for a nice hone job next week. When they come back I will get to know them then use four in a rotation.
I counted six soaps and creams and three aftershaves in use at this time.
Variety gets me going in the morning.

I rotate my soaps on a daily basis however the razor part I keep changing. Sometimes I'll use the same razor for a week or so and then change and sometimes I'll rotate every day and sometimes I'll move a razor from my reserve collection into the active shavers and vice versa.

You're hardly a loser! There is an old saying: "Beware the man who has only one gun-he probably knows how to use it..."
I too started out simple, with one razor, less than a year ago-last Christmas in fact. As there are so many (at first confusing) variables in this str8 razor game, and our culture has mostly lost the knowledge to teach us, I say less is more at first.
I still only have 3 razors, but am trying to save some jack for a few more, maybe one or two of each type/region. Each razor/soap/cream combo shaves slightly differently, so it's good to start experimenting after a while to see what you like and what works for your beard/skin type.
Part of the fun is trying the different soaps/creams. I just took a break from busy Thanksgiving preparations to shave with one of my favorite combos: my Unexcelled Improved Eagle razor and Godreg Menthol Mist cream.
Blessings to all! AaronThere are many roads to sharp.

I just go with what I fancy. More often than not it's a different razor but not always.
