Closed eyes shave?
has anyone tried to use straight razor wit close eyes?
if not would you mind try it out and see what happens?
At first my experience.
Usually while i shave blade barely touches my facial skin.
Wasn't case with close eyes. lost distance between blade and skin.
Have to put blade against my skin then make light strokes.
i did only straight down strokes on my chin the stopped.
wasn't comfortable to continue.
Are there any easier way(method) to use straight razor?

Thanked: 1195Sorry Sham, but the first question I have to ask is why would anyone try shaving with their eyes closed in the first place? Unless you plan on being blind someday I'm not sure why you would want to attempt this.

I did a no-look shave on a boat once. (Turns out there *was* a mirror, but I didn't know it then.)
I was only brave enough for WTG everywhere and then ATG on my cheeks. There was some difficulty in knowing when the blade would touch my skin, so I went slowly and with many small strokes, like Sham said.
Strangely, it seemed easier if I actually closed my eyes, rather than just staring off into space. It was tough, but manageable. No blood. I think that a seasoned straight-user could probably have it nailed in a week or two.

I am also curious why one would want to shave with one's eyes closed.

Thanked: 68Can't say I've tried my face. Would be similar to doing the back of my head by feel I would imagine. Then again, the back of my head is a more regular shape than my face!
Don't do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the paramedics!
