Yet another thank you to John Crowley
I have been sick in bed with a really bad virus and hadn’t shaved in over a week. I used my 8/8 Henckels Friodur that I got from John and in a single silky smooth pass I was clean shaven and smooth as a baby's butt. John, you are my new razor dealer of choice. Even though I have only purchased one razor from you to date, and while I won't be buying as many razors as I had been because I am saving for a house, you are my razor savior. Thanks again for selling such a quality product; I have fallen in love with these razors, and will be buying quite a few more of your 8/8 razors.

JL,
Was it the blue-scaled one you bought for your wedding day? Get well soon.

Thanked: 8JL, just buy a cheaper plastic handled one and I'll make you a set of wooden scales as a wedding present if you like or not..whatever takes your fancy.
Cheers

Thanked: 8JL, enough of the sentimental stuff OK Us Kiwi's are just friendly.
Just let me know what razor you eventually get and I'll make up a set to suit. The only three things I ask in return are:-
1. Be good to your new wife. I've been married for 22yrs and I'm still good.
2. Enjoy the razor.
3. Pay it forward.
Can you pin the scales btw ?. I'll include the rod and washers etc...
Best regards
Gary

this is the razor I was thinking of getting this 8/8:
My wife said right now anything under 100.00 is ok, but like I said I want wooden scales, however the house fund is eating up all our spare cash! Gary if you are really willing to make them for me, I could either ship you the razor once I get it or if you can make the scales without seeing the razor, perhaps Joe Chandler would pin them on for me if I couldnt figure it out. I know he has a little side business going doing that sort of stuff.Last edited by JLStorm; 07-07-2006 at 05:53 PM.

I thought so. After hearing how nice it shaves, I couldn't take it any longer and just ordered one from John. I love those blue mosaic scales.
