I shave my head in the shower with a headblade razor and I use whatever bar of soap that is in there at the time. Just put soap in hand and lather and apply then shave, rinse and repeat. Cheap and simple.

Thanked: 346You could also just wet your face and use a Williams puck like a shave stick. Or use butter, Kramer swears by it.

Well, many old timers will tell you that all those fancy soaps and cremes are for sissy's anyway and that real men shave with just water on your face. Try it ,you might be suprised at the result. Just make sure to keep your face wet throughout the shave. And just think of all the money you'll save!

Soaps are necessary because they create lather that lifts up the hair and makes it easier to cut. You can probably get away with using regular bar soap but nice shaving soaps are a cheap way to enhance your shaving experience and they cost a heck of a lot less than canned gels/foams.
