Thanked: 46No, NO and HELL no!
I've seen my wife cut herself on every kind of bladed item known to modern man, shielded, caged or otherwise, so there's no way on Earth I'd let her near me with a CT/straight razor!

Somehow I keep seeing images of Whoopi Goldberg ready to slash Danny Glovers throat.

During my 3rd shave my wife wanted to try to shave my neck. She was allowed. She has too much time invested in training me to "accidentally" let that razor slip. After looking at the thread, "so easy a twelve year old girl can do it," I might just let the Mrs. give me a complete shave one of these days.

My wife is too intimidated to pick up a straight. She's still working up courage to try a DE. Were she using a straight regularly and it were her idea, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Mine is converted, for now on her legs. I might pick up a de for myself and her. If she likes the shave from the DE the time it takes with the straight might make it second in line. I would not let your wife touch a straight until that new addition is sleeping through the night

I wouldn't want anyone else to shave me, for the simple reason that I do not wish to lose any of the joy of shaving with a straight, even for a day. It is my ritual and mine alone. YMMV.

I can agree with you there! But maybe after some of this newness wears off I will ask her to sit me down and wipe the whiskers off my ugly mug. It could be relaxing, it is possible for me to take a quick nap when the barber is cutting my hair. But just like you, I still enjoy the shave myself.

Perhaps, but this is hardly newness for me having been 'straight' for 3 years. Different strokes for different folks. The joy of selecting one of many from my rotation followed by the selection of one of many shaving products of which to create a lather from, and then the relaxation of the shave itself, which absorbs all my attention and thus, for the limited duration of the shave I forget all worries and focus only on the shave; is to me a non-delegable privilege and after a long or hard day, something to look forward to.
