Thanked: 190I use to cut myself like this nearing the top of the learning curve. I was getting consistent BBS shaves, felt confident, and didn't respect the edge enough. Well, I got a small reminder to remember to respect the edge. It has been a long time since then, but I am always very respectful and aware of where the edge is at all times. The cuts were really scratches and healed over in a few days.
Good Luck,
Pabster

Thanked: 443I've been exclusively straight-shaving for about a year, and I occasionally do a bad landing like that. It happens when I'm feeling too confident, I think. Or unfocused. Gotta stay humble before the Blade.
Good luck, heal fast!"These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

That's a fear I have, not kids, but a cat that likes to jump on me. I can see it now, cat jumps and hits my arm and I gash my face. The cat would use up all 9 lives pretty fast if that happened, so I guess it would only be an issue once.
OP, shaving when you're tired can make you do dumb things.
Last night, I kept shaving with my DE even when the blade began to tug. I had about 7 weepers on my neck before I decided to change the blade.
As if that wasn't bad enough... I losen the head on my slant so I can rinse it all off. While I was rinsing my head off I found a little spot that I missed while shaving and not thinking, grabbed the razor and started shaving it off. Yeah, the new Feather blade did a fine job flopping around and nicking me all up before I remembered. To top it all of, a mole I typically shave lightly over was cut in two because I wasn't paying attention.
Screw alum, I need to buy some quikclot combat guaze.
