That's too easy. The real trck is to make them think that.

Most everyone on the forum seems to think highly of the way a wedge shaves...interestingly the people at Thiers-Issard speak of them with derision. This is taken from the Thiers-Issard Story on Classic shaving.com

"Full Grind - Often called a "Wedge" style blade, this profile is the least costly and most rugged of all razor styles. Its thicker blade and edge allows for very rough handling. This type of blade is often used in commercial hair salons for hair shaping and feathering. Thiers-Issard makes no razors of this type."

Opinions vary... just as much as credibility. I'd venture to say that JL's wedge shaves just as good as any TI made. Don't get me wrong... TI is a good razor. They are just not the king, so to speak.

    Lightbulb

    Gorgeous scales. Nice work Bill.

Someday I'll order a heavy wedge with wooden scales like that. Maybe a 7/8.
