Thanked: 46My beard is salt @ pepper as well, but the worst of it is that it is fast growing and stiff. Even with the "PERFECT" shave , I am only good for about 12 hours. Best, wildhog

Thanked: 485I'm a little embarrassed to say a couple of days, and I only do one pass WTG. When I'm on holidays I used to not shave for a week, and then I'd say proudly to my wife "Can you see how MANLY I look?", she generally couldn't actually tell, much to my disappointment. Used to be I never shaved on weekends; that was pre SR, now, post SR I shave everyday because I love it so much...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 443I shave at bedtime, when there's no need to hurry and then my skin doesn't have to go face my hot dirty workworld all recently irritated. A single pass gets me about 36 hours before I'm visibly stubbly, a full 3-pass touchup is good for 48. I seldom do more than a single pass, though, since like everyone else I enjoy the ritual.
48 hours after a single pass, though, nobody wants to sell me sudafed."These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

I also shave at bedtime and to be completely honest,on a three pass shave I can go 36-48 hours before I start looking grubby. With a DE its about 24,maybe less, but that's stubble and having a darker Italian type skin tone its just something you can feel not see. the straight definitely gives a longer lasting shave, and being devastatingly handsome helps also.......lol

Thanked: 1195First, what is the criteria we are talking about when asked "how long does your shave last"? Are we talking about how long it takes to feel stubble growing back? Or how long before it warrants shaving again?
After a buttery, smooth-as-glass shave I'd say I get no more than 12 hours before I can feel stubble, and that's really pushing it. At the 24 hour mark I could easily shave again. I'm not sure how you guys are getting these 30 hour shaves, and it's not like I'm Mediterranean-hairy or anything. I'd say I have average beard density, one that seems to grow quickly.

everything but my sideburns takes forever to grow in.
I just now have a 5 o'clock shadow and my last shave was Monday between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m. so 50 hours. I am easily presentable for two days, on day 3 I start to look a little stubbly. I normally don't shave Monday or Thursday

Thanked: 485This is actually quite an interesting thread; I always thought I had a stupidly 'boyish' growth, but it seems quite a few guys have a slowish growth; either that of the site is frequented by 13 year old boys...

Thanked: 14I can usually go about 7-8 hours before I feel a hint of stubble. During the week I shave around 5 am, and I can feel a bit of stubble by dinnertime or a little after. By suppertime I still have a few areas that are smooth.
I have just enough stubble the next morning to make it worth shaving again. If I didn't enjoy my morning shave, I could easily go every other day.

I shave at night, normally. Shaved at 8 last night and it's 6 am now. I can feel the stubble and it will be easily visible by the 12 hour mark.
