Default How Long Does Your's Last?

I suspect we have had a few of these threads over the years, but at least for me, between my honing, lather building and shave stroke improvements I am now getting about 18 - 20 hours out of a BBS shave before it gives up the ghost. When I first started, it was like maybe 3 - 5 hours.

I am defining giving up the ghost as "I would no longer go into a job interview" (where it matters of course).

So how bout my bretheren? How long before your's gives it up?

18 hours, then ATG faceturbation reveals some stubble. 36 hours till I need a shave and 48 hours really needs a shave

With my heavy beard, I am lucky to get 15 hours out of a BBS before it starts looking patchy.

I'm a fair-haired northerner, I don't get a ghost easily, so for me it's the faceturbation test. Usually stay silky smooth for 12-15 hours, around 18-20 hours before I have much stubble at all, and if I've gone nuts with the touchups the previous day it may be that I can barely justify another shave in 24 hours.
My wife met an old friend once and was telling her friend I was shaving with straights. She had her friend touch my face, she was impressed and said something about how she wished her husband would straightshave. I did not tell her, but I had not shaved for almost 18 hours

I'd say I'm about 15-18 hours. I usually shave between 6 and 630 in the morning, and when I'm getting ready for bed I have a little stubble. Not enough to call a "shadow" but just enough that I may not want to head to a fancy place.

If I shave in the morning, I can do a job interview that whole day with absolutely no worries or concerns.
When I shave at night, I would start to get enough of a shadow to notice around noon or a tad later.

So I guess somewhere between 15 to 18 hours on average.

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

    18-20 hours.

Because my beard is now salt & pepper, it looks really bad if I don't shave every day. An all black stubble is sort of in vogue but salt and pepper just looks unkempt.
