Thanked: 46small stropping question
I waited 3 days to straight shave and after I was done I felt I missed a few spots on/around my chin area..chin pits as well...could it be if a razor is NOT stropped as good as it can be miss more spots than usual as if the razor were to be stropped properly..sometimes I find myself stropping lifting the spine..and others in damn good at stropping like a pro..thoughts?

Thanked: 993My advice would be to slow down and refrain from lifting the spine when you strop.
Then you'll have quantitative evidence with regards to your question. Your shaves might improve tenfold.

I don't think the stropping has much to do with missing areas. That's a technique thing. Properly stropped you'll get a smoother shave. if you rounded the edge stropping it just wouldn't shave right at all.

Thanked: 1371Maybe quit worrying about stropping like a pro and concentrate on stropping like a competent amateur.
