    Thumbs up

I like to use a wide variety of widths. I have four 4/8 razors, all of which can easily compete with my larger widths in terms of shave. In fact, the Le Grelot P-Hospital is one of my smoothest shavers.

    4/8 Razors:
    Union Cutlery Spike
    Strega 852 (Sweden)
    Filarmonica Inox
    Le Grelot P-Hospital

    Happy Shaving

    +1

I do have some bigger blades that I like, but in general I prefer 4/8.

My OTTO BUSCH Weltmeister 4/8 ~ FRENCH point shaves like a dream.

I too was surprised that a 4/8 would shave with such ease but I really think it has to do with, tecnique of course, but being sharp.
Love the 6/8 a lot and love the heavy feel but honestly I got as good a shave as ever with the little OTTO

I own and love my little 4/8th, Newark Cutlery I BELIEVE is the name[correct me if I am mistaken] and it is very nimble and to use an over/used term, razor sharp! I also love and use a couple of 6/8th's but for a change up, 4/8th is great!

    And that's the truth, ...................me.

I have some awesome 4/8 swedes - they're more than a match for any inch blade shave wise!

Gentlemen, forgive me for slowing down this train, but the 4/8" blade has never felt comfortable for me. I have three 4/8" to 9/16" razors left, all superb shavers, but I find them light even in my small hands. For the most part I use them when traveling. The two times that I have nicked myself have been with the 4/8" razor. This is an omen.

I thought I had maybe a couple of 4/8ths, but on actually measuring them they're closer to 5/8, though one is 4/8 at the heel and the other 4/8 at the toe :-) I do prefer the smaller razors though, in my limited experience...

I believe that it may be easier to nick oneself with a 4/8 due to the light weight and ease of movement around the face. I use larger razors, but I truly like the shave I get from my 4/8 Henkels when it comes around in the rotation. Personal preference is a large factor.
I picked up a Puma 3/8 some time back in a box at auction. Now that is a small razor, but you can shave with it. Talk about light.
