What do you USUALLY use?
Okay guys, we get to see the posts on the new finds, the first shave....ocasionally someones last shave <g> etc...
So what do you usually use on a daily basis....the same old, same old? a constant rotation?
For me on weekdays it's pretty uneventful, maybe even boring. I'm up at 4:45, grab one of my lesser TI razors, usually a Le Dandy, or occasionally a 6/8 Leaf and Vine, a 20 year old Crabtree & Evelynn boar/badger combo brush and Sienna creme in a tube. If in a big rush I do a finish pass on my neck with a Merkur Progress instead of several passes with the straight. Finish with a splash of Pinaud's Clubman, a quick flailing with a Marvy horsehair duster and Clubman's talc and off I go.
I'm not a fancy soap or brush guy, no skin food products, pre-shave oils, etc... on weekdays it's a basic razor, basic brush but still always the best shave in the lab...or whole company for that matter. Weekends have me using a nice, favorite razor and nicer brush but no fancy potions.
What's your regular routine?

Thanked: 4I absolutley love my 6/8 Round Point Goldedge and the Lime HoneyBee Shaving soap combo I do. Stiffest hollow ground razor under 8/8 I have ever used, always rocks my world.
But since I do have 5 blades in my constant rotation, I will use either the Goldedge, Wonderedge, Henckels Friodur or one of my W&B wedges. I always use the same Vufix brush and 1.00 32oz cappaciono mug I found at a grocery store.
Normally I just throw on some homemade witchhazel/tea tree oil aftersahve and I am out to class. It is getting colder here so I sometimes end up putting on a balm of comsort, homemade or bought.
Weekends I live it up thoughand spend at least an hour between prepping, shaving, and after shave rituals. Doesn't include my shower either

I have a standard rotation of razors but sometimes I feel more inclined to use another tool than the one I usually do.
My pre-shave is always done with the Wilkinson soap (so it doesn't go to waste) and brush (so I don't pollute a decent brush with inferior soap).
Then I strop on the second I got from you a while back (before that, I used to use a lethaer belt).
Then I apply either one of Colleen's soaps (Cavendish Black, Bay Rum + Orange, Orange Patchouli, Desert Ironwood), C&E Nomad, C&E Sweet Almond Oil cream or T&H 1805 cream (thanks Dave) with the C&E BB brush. It's my only good one, but as soon as Matt finishes my commission, I'll have a nice ebony/sterling 24mm silvertip.
I like to go simple on the aftershaves. Usually I either use DBR or Old Spice. Sometimes I use the Paco Rabanne that someone gave me but I find it too harsh and too strong.

This takes the easiest and best edge on a regular basis so I end up using at almost twice as frequently as any other razor in my rotation. 7/8" of Sheffield wonder.
This is my new silver tip super brush from Matt, soon to reawaken my blog.
I'm about 1/4 way through a jar of Sienna cream. Good thing I like it so.
This Thayer's lotion is the ONLY after shave I have ever tried.
I've been toning up with Lush's Dream Cream. Man it's a good idea. My face loves me.
Of course the aphrodesiacal Nigerian Green Musk that drives the ladies wild. I've used other scents when I need to impress a room full of gents, but I always feel like I'm being followed by Mr GQ.

By the way X, I wanted to get Lush Ambrosia but I get nauseous when I get within 10 meters of their stores lol.

It was alright, nice, mild and refreshing. However I didn't like it enough to go into their gas-chambers. Working in a solvent packaging room at a chemical plant sounds more appealing to me (and yes, I've done it).

I'm still working my way through a number of different sizes and styles of razors to decide what's best for me, but so far it's hard to beat a 6/8 Revisor and Classicshaving vanilla soap, Vulfix brush, alum block rubdown & Pinaud Clubman.

Routine? This is supposed to be routine? I've got over 50 soaps and creams. Over 20 DE razors and 9 straights that are shave ready. Brushes, now almost to 20! But, if I had to narrow it down, I could live with:
Taylor's Shaving Shop shaving cream
Shavemac Silvertip (4 to choose from)
Merkur HD Classic DE
SRP #89 Straight
GFT Coral Skin Food
Thayer's Witch Hazel
A*MEN EDT
I could live with only those items...but why?

Thanked: 1587Nothing very flash for me: An old but faithful Bengall, Wahl traditional barbers cream, an old coffee mug to mix in, and a basic brush. No pre or post-shave anything. The only change to this is when I do my head as well (about twice a week). Then I make sure I've got two razors (the bengall and usually a Dovo), and I pinch a bit of my wife's face cream for my head afterwards.
