She enjoyed it but I was unable to give her a good shave so now she is not very believing that a straight or even a DE razor would be much different that what she already is getting with a store bought razor. I was hoping someone could help me out on a good way to shave her legs that I could try out in a couple of nights and hopefully get a better result.

I tried once, maybe that was a contributing factor to the divorce.

err ummm... Thats a good call make her sign a shaving pre nup.

I shaved my wife's legs last night the same way I shave. Oil, nice cream, shaving, post shave balm. SHE LOVED IT!! Then I figured this may turn into a regular thing and I am wondering if it was the right thing to do. I mean... I don't mind pampering her and shaving her legs, but...

That's a fact. My wife has said more than once "don't even think about coming near me with that".

She won't even stay in the room while I am using the strop.

At least it was fun while it lasted...

this is what i do:
let her soak in a hot tub while i make some hot lather. then i sit on the edge of the tub so im in a stable position. i have her stretch her leg out and rest her foot on my chest when i shave the top and outter side of her calf. when i shave the back or inside i will hold her ankle and lift her leg up. i start off by lathering her leg really well. then i make strokes with the grain which is down for my lady. i start on the outside of the calf. i save the ankle for last. the knees are really hard though. then i move onto the next leg. after that i relather her and then go from the bottom up starting with the first leg and the outside of the calf again. when she gets out of the bath i splash some aftershave on her and then massage cream on her legs. the shave will last for a few days. she loves it. i make sure im really slow and steady. i try and make it all about her. pamper her. light some candles and relax her. the more relaxed you are and the more confident you are the more relaxed and confident in you she will be.
also maybe put some barbasol on her legs and a hot towel and let them rest like that while you make the hot lather if you dont want to do it in the tub.

My girl loves the nostalgia behind wet shaving and decided to treat her legs like I do my face. We've tried numerous amounts of diffrent razors, blades, oils, lathers etc etc. She loves the close shave of a shavette, but admires the experience of getting shaved with a 5/8 full hollow. It's great to hear about other couples enjoying it as well.

I got a BUNCH of samples from Mama Bear's last Friday. I let my wife pick out one. I'll order it just for her. She likes the Coconut.

I hate it. Now I'm gonna have to make her her own brush to keep that smell out of mine.

I just do a single ATG for my wife and it does a great job for her. She takes a shower before hand to help prep the skin and then I lather up her legs in sections so the lather does not dry out. On the front of her knees I do two passes with the knees bent, one from left to right and another right to left. I find this is the best way to get the hair and not have the razor catch on the lines that are formed due to the skin ridges on the joint.
While I am shaving her she is laying on the bed with a towel under her reading a book. When I am finished with an area I have her roll over so I can get the next section done. When I am done I wipe her legs down with a hot towel to remove any residual lather and then give her a foot and leg massage with her favorite lotion.

Make sure that she feels pampered and the favor might just be returned.
